Our Commitment to Safety
All YMCA Afterschool staff are carefully screened and trained to provide the highest level of care and safety.
Staff Qualifications Include:
- Comprehensive background checks
- Child sexual abuse prevention training prior to their first shift
- A minimum of 7 hours of online training within the first 30 days
Ongoing staff development throughout the year, including:
- First Aid & CPR
- Safety and behavior management
- Child development and inclusion
With structured programming, positive mentors, and a focus on social and emotional learning, our afterschool programs provide peace of mind for parents and a sense of belonging for every child.
