Peace of mind comes from knowing your child is in a safe and nurturing environment with fun and enriching activities.

The Y Afterschool program starts with the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith as the foundation and designs an enriching experience that helps each student reach their full potential in spirit, mind, and body. Fun activities focus on developing character, leadership, social skills and important independent life skills.

A SAFE ENVIRONMENT- All Y Afterschool staff are thoroughly background checked, complete child sexual abuse prevention courses before their first shift and a minimum of 7 hours of online staff training during the first 30 days as well as ongoing staff development throughout the year, including first aid, safety training, behavior management and child development.

Session Days and Times 2024-2025

The Y Afterschool program runs Monday-Friday on site at Andrews Elementary from school dismissal time until 6:00pm on all full and half days that school is in session.

Full day “Out of School” day camp programs will be held for an extra fee during staff development days and holidays throughout the year onsite at the Tidelands Health Georgetown Family YMCA. Space is limited.

We reserve 2-3 days at the opening and 2-3 days at the closing of our programs as a transitioning time between the summer and school year for staff training, program planning and site preparation.

The Y Afterschool program will NOT hold programs on:

Y Afterschool Program Fees 2024-2025

Cost:
$35 registration fee

Y Members: $150 per month

The non-refundable registration fee is due at time of registration to hold a spot. Remaining program balances are due on the first day of each month and must be paid by a bank draft set up during the registration process.

Late Fee:

There is a late pick up fee of $1 per minute late per child that will be charged to your account.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, & WITHDRAWLS

A written 30-day notice is required to withdraw your child/ren from participation in the afterschool program session.

Any changes made outside of that window will not be honored and no refunds or credits will be made.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE If economic or other family circumstances prevent your child from participating in our program, please complete the financial assistance application and return it to your local branch by July 15. Financial assistance will be awarded based on program availability, eligibility, and the order applications were received. You must be a facility member in good standing to be eligible for financial assistance with a cap of 30%.

Session Days and Times:

The Y Afterschool program runs Monday-Friday on site at the Claire Chapin Epps YMCA from 2:00 until 6:00pm on all full and some early dismissal half days that school is in session.

Full day “Out of School” day camp programs will be held for an extra fee during HCS staff development days and holidays throughout the year.

We reserve 2 days at the closing of our programs as a transitioning time between the summer and school year for staff training, program planning and site preparation.

FIRST DAY OF AFTERSCHOOL WILL BE MONDAY, AUGUST 19th 2024

$35.00 registration fee

Y Members: $290 per month
Non- Members: $399 per month

The non-refundable registration fee is due at time of registration to hold a spot. Remaining program balances are due on the first day of each month and must be paid by a bank draft set up during the registration process.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, & WITHDRAWALS:

A written 30-day notice is required to withdraw your child/ren from participation in the afterschool program session.

Any changes made outside of that window will not be honored and no refunds or credits will be made.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

If economic or other family circumstances prevent your child from participating in our program, please complete the financial assistance application and return it to your local branch by July 15. Financial assistance will be awarded based on program availability, eligibility, and the order applications were received. You must be a facility member in good standing to be eligible for financial assistance with a cap of 30%.

Full day “Out of School” day camp programs will be held for an extra fee during staff development days and holidays throughout the year onsite at the Tidelands Health Pawleys Family YMCA. Space is limited.

We reserve 2-3 days at the opening and 2-3 days at the closing of our programs as a transitioning time between the summer and school year for staff training, program planning and site preparation.

The Y Afterschool program will NOT hold programs on:

Due to the impending Tropical Storm and potential weather conditions overnight, in order to keep our members and staff safe, all YMCA of Coastal Carolina center locations will delay opening hours on Friday, September 27th, 2024.

  • Friday, September 27, 2024: All three YMCA of Coastal Carolina centers will open at 10 a.m.

We hope you and your family stayed safe during the storm. We will resume normal operations at all three YMCA of Coastal Carolina center locations at 11 a.m. today. 

  • Thursday, August 31: All three center locations will reopen at 11 a.m.
  • Friday, September 1: All three center locations will be open during normal hours.
 24-hour access will be unavailable to Tidelands Health Georgetown Family YMCA during the times the center is closed but will resume as normal tonight.
