
🌊 Dive into Summer Safely with Free Swimming Lessons in Williamsburg & Georgetown Counties!
Summer fun should be safe fun—especially around the water! That’s why Williamsburg County Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the YMCA of Coastal Carolina, and Georgetown County Parks & Recreation are offering FREE Safety Around Water programs for kids ages 5–15. These weeklong swimming courses teach essential water safety and swimming skills that can help save lives.
Williamsburg County: Safety Around Water Program
Registration: May 15 – June 15
Cost: FREE

Session Dates & Locations:
- June 30 – July 3: Hemingway High School
- July 7–10 & July 14–17: Williamsburg County Recreation
- July 21 – July 24: Greenleyville STEM Academy
Session Times:
- Ages 5–9: 9:00–10:30 AM or 10:30–12:00 PM
- Ages 10–15: 1:00–2:30 PM or 2:30–4:00 PM
Georgetown County: Safety Around Water Program
Registration: May 1 – May 30
Cost: FREE

- June 2–5: Andrews Regional Recreation Center
- June 9–12: Andrews Regional Recreation Center
- June 16–19: Northwest Regional Recreation Center @ Choppee
- June 23–26: Northwest Regional Recreation Center @ Choppee
