COVID-19 Update

UPDATED 3/26/2020

Dear Valued YMCA Member,

We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the challenging circumstances related to COVID-19. We are all operating in unknown territory right now, and working as quickly as we can to keep you updated and address your questions.  We are committed to doing our part to prevent the spread of this virus.  For the health and safety of our community and our team, this has required us to close our branches to our members.

Even though we are closed to members, we are exploring options for responding to the childcare needs those working in the healthcare fields and other essential service industries.  We are also coordinating with other agencies to provide assistance to those who will need our help in the coming days.

That is why I am asking you to STAY WITH US and keep your membership active.  As a member of the YMCA, you are a part of a cause-driven organization that is shaping the foundation of our community in significant ways.  Your YMCA membership has always been more than just having access to a building. It has been about making connections and building relationships.  You have played an active role in building a stronger community.  We are committed to being here for you and our neighbors when the tough work of recovery begins.  In the meantime, we need for you to be here with us—to help us deliver critical childcare services, sustain our organization and support our amazing staff so that we’re able to jump back into action when the time comes to reopen the Y.

For some, you may be in a position to help even more. Consider sponsoring another member or donating to our YMCA.  These funds will help others stay connected to the YMCA and will help ensure the YMCA continues meeting needs in our communities.

Our original plan was to reopen on March 30th, but the reality is that we will most likely reopen towards the middle of April.  We will announce our plans via email, social media and on our website.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss your membership, please call us or email us at [email protected].

As we navigate through this rapidly evolving situation, we will continue to make decisions with wisdom, prayer, counsel from other leaders, and a strong determination to serve you and our community.  Above all, I urge you to STAY WITH US and allow this moment to move your hearts to what is most important in life.

Thank you for your consideration of this request for crucial support.

In Service,

Ryan Finney

Regular exercise is one component of a healthy lifestyle that can help reduce stress and prevent illness. While we would love to see you at the Y, we honor and respect each individual’s choice with regard to your health during this time. If you are unable to join us at one of our facilities, we have a variety of at-home exercise options for members.
